OTTERBEIN CEMERTERY DONATIONS REQUESTED.
The Otterbein Cemetery is kept up by donations. If you have family buried there, please help keep it up by donating. Please also keep memorial flowers placed there off of the ground to facilitate mowing. Donations may be made to the Otterbein Cemetery Fund and sent to Frances Fitzwater 1807 WV HWY 5E, Glenville, WV 26351.

Concessions will be available.

All children 5 & under and All Wildcat students (Attend GCES) is Free.

Titan Students (Attend GCMS or GCHS) $3.
Other students from a different county Grades 6-12 $5.

Crafts & Beyond and Green Nutrition is hosting a Craft Show on September 13th, 2025, 10 AM to 6PM at the Gilmer County Rec Center located at 194 Rec Center Dr. Glenville, WV 26351. Reunions
On Monday August 4th, 2025, at 7 p.m. the Glenville City Council will meet in the council chambers.

On Wednesday August 6th, 2025, at 9 a.m. the Gilmer County Commission will meet at the Gilmer County Courthouse. 

The WV Department of Veterans Assistance will be at the Gilmer County Senior Center on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 (first Wednesday) between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. For more information call 304.927.0980

The Gilmer County PSD Board of Directors will hold a meeting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday August 11th, 2025, at the main building on 232 W. Main St. in Glenville. The public is invited.

On Monday August 11th, 2025, at 5 p.m. The Gilmer County Board of Education will meet at the Gilmer County School Office.

On Wednesday August 13th, 2025, at 1 p.m. the Gilmer County Senior Center will hold their month board meeting. 

On Wednesday August 13th, 2025, at 4 p.m. the Gilmer County Public Library will meet in the library's board room. 
The 45th Annual Smith Reunion
Family & Friends of the late Thomas Jefferson and Alice May Phillips Smith will meet on Saturday August 16, 2025, at the Recreation Building at Cedar Creek State Park beginning at 11 a.m. Bring a covered dish and your memories. We will be having a Chinese basket auction, 50/50 and taking donations to raise money for future reunions. For more information contact Sherry Smith at 304-904-0776.

81st Annual Kuhl Family Reunion
The 81st Annual Kuhl Family Reunion (descendants of Henry Kuhl and Catherine Yeagle Kuhl/Betsy Skidmore Kuhl) will be Sun., Aug. 17 at the Cedar Creek State Park Recreation Building. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the covered dish meal will start at 12:30. p.m. Bring a covered dish and family members. Coffee, tea, water, paper plates, napkins, cups and plastic ware will all be provided. There will be a dessert auction so bring your favorite pie, cake or plate of cookies to the auction. Come fellowship with family and friends. If you have family photos you would like to share, please bring them. Radene Kuhl, historian, will have the Kuhl photo albums on display.


WIC services in August for Gilmer County
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program is a supplemental food program for pregnant, post-partum, or breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to the age of five. WIC provides food, breastfeeding support and nutrition education to families in Gilmer County. To apply for the WIC Program or to receive more information call our local office at 304-462-8290 or our main office in Parkersburg at 304-428-3688.
The Gilmer County WIC Clinic is located at 1471 West Virginia Highway 5 East,
Glenville. The WIC clinic will be open every Thursday in August from 8:00AM-4:00PM.

Copen School Reunion
The Copen School Reunion will be Sept. 20, a new date this year! Lunch will be around noon. Bring a covered dish and lawn chair. Looking forward to seeing all of you this year.
